Love Makes The World Go 'Round

These are a couple of love cards I sent in recent OWH shipments. It's been a very hectic November for me so far and it's coming dangerously close to being over... but I am determined to get at least a few Love & Valentine's cards done and shipped for the Archway Cookie Challenge December 1st deadline even if I have to  lock myself away to do it!

Be My Valentine OWH Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my stop on the OWH Blog Hop! You can find the start of the hop over at OWH Stars & Stamps.

I've been making cards for OWH (then Cards For Heroes) since May 2008 and have really enjoyed being a part of such a wonderful organization. If you are just finding out about this great cause I urge you to go explore the main OWH Website and to join in the fun. I can guarantee you that once you get started you'll be hooked just like I was.

Deadlines for holiday cards are posted in the left margin of the main page. The deadline for Christmas cards has passed. The next deadline is January 7th for Valentine's cards. If you're like me and have a hard time keeping up with deadlines just set your sights on the basic themes that are needed all year round like Love, Miss You, Thinking of You, Hello, Thank You, and Birthday so you can send them anytime it's easiest for you.

OWH is a Finalist!!

I am excited to report that OWH has been chosen as one of the 3 "Finalist" charities for the JoAnn's Crafting for a Cause Contest. I am so grateful that enough of my fellow OWH card makers took time to enter to get us to this point. The next step is spreading the word and getting friends, family and coworkers to vote for OWH so we can win the big 50K prize. The voting has begun and will go on until December 4th. There are some rules about voting: First, they are basing it on IP addresses so its basically boils down to one vote per household. (Having your hubby vote each day from his office however (a different IP address) is allowable. Also note that you can only vote ONCE in any 24 hour period, so if you intend to vote every day, voting at approximately the same time each day will simplify the process for you. I certainly want to see OWH win and by far the best way for us to make it to the top it to spread the word and  I hope you will.
