Love You Mom Free Digi

I'm working on a box of cards for the OWH Mother's Day Half & Half Challenge and created a digi that I'd like to share. It's based on a common design concept of replacing a character with an object. Here are some of the ideas I came up with.

I've been stoked with crafting mojo from the OWH Virtual Card Making Party and have been making cards but have some catching up to do on taking photos. These are a couple of cards I had in my "cards to share file" which helps me to always have a few cards I can share that I haven't posted before.

ODBD Challenge for February

Amid all the Virtual Card Making Party challenges I wanted to be sure to get a card made for the monthly Our Daily Bread Designs (ODBD) challenge. This month the challenge is fairly simple... use ribbon on your card. 

I often use ribbon on my cards so this was easy to do and best of all if we get 50 entries by the deadline ODBD sponsors shipment of 2 boxes of cards to out heroes not to mention a chance at a drawing for ODBD Gift Certificates.

Sketch #107 and Creative Overload

I unpacked my supplies this weekend and never completely packed them back up knowing the that the OWH Virtual CArd Making Party would be taking place and it would send my card making mojo into overdrive. Here is my take on this week's OWH Sketch #107.

I like the clean layout of this sketch and will definitely be using it again and again.

CAS Skip at the OWH Stars & Stamps Blog

There's a great CAS SKIP (a skip is a short hop) taking place over at the OWH Stars & Stamps Blog today. While many people find CAS designs attractive, many find them not so easy to do.

 
One thing I can say for certain from my career as a graphic designer is that learning and understanding the basic tenants behind CAS and practicing it will make you a better designer even when you create more elaborate or complex designs.
