Sending Love By Airmail

This week's Mideweek Throwdown challenge over at the OWH Stars & Stamps blog is 'Cards 4 Kids'. I'd colored up this cute little digi (by the very talented Dustin Pike) recently and decided he'd be perfect for a kids card. I've always enjoyed making kids card for my OWH boxes. Being so far apart from a mom or dad for long periods of time has got to be very tough for the kids and the smile that a card will bring is strong motivation to create.

A little side note on this... the sentiment was printed on white card stock along with the digi but when I went to create the card I felt like it was just too much white so I just colored right over it with an alcohol marker and voilá it looks like it was printed on red paper. You need to be sure your print out is really dry when you do this but I tend to print out my digi stamps in groups, long before I have any real plan to use them so they have days, and sometimes weeks to totally dry.

Happy Crafting!
