I've spent the first few weeks of this year creating OWH Bootcamp classes and while it has taken me away from actual crafting it's been exciting too. I think it would be fair to say that from a very young age it was pretty evident to most of the people around me that I would end up in some art related field. There wasn't an art supply that I didn't want or didn't use and I spent most of my high school days in the art department. I was extraordinarily fortunate to attend Parson's School of Design in New York city and to this day cringe at the thought that I applied to no other school. (I don't know what I would have done had I not been accepted ... Ahhh, youth!)
Of all the courses I had to take Color Theory was second perhaps only to Typography, and it seemed like a good place to start when I was considering what topics to cover in the Bootcamps. I am looking forward to both creating AND taking the classes too because no matter how much experience you have I can attest that there is value in going back to the basics and so this weekend I spent some time creating cards that followed the specific Color Harmonies covered in the class.
This Monochromatic card, using various shade, tints and tones of green is the first I will share with you over the course of the next few weeks before Bootcamp #2 is posted on February 18th.
Happy Crafting!

Fantastic Monochromatic card! Way to go with your classes! Good Luck!
Thanks for doing these Bootcamp tutorials for all of us! You clearly have monochromatic nailed down, and this card looks so pretty with all those shades of green! I love how these patterned papers work so well together too!
