Be Mine Forever

I've been enjoying exploring the challenge blogs all over the web. I know that I won't have the time to join in all of them every week but I plan to play in a bunch as often as I can. I have long been amazed by card makers who manage to make one card that fits into many different challenges at once. While I can see combing two or three I think I'd find trying to combine any more would stifle my creativity.

I decided to join in on the MFT Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge this week and I wanted to use this chalkboard sentiment I'd embossed a couple of weeks ago. It works well with a feminine design so including flowers seemed like a natural progression
and makes it eligible for the Simon Says Stamp 'Flower Power' Challenge too.

This is based on the MFT sketch and since I would not naturally 'skew' elements in opposite directions this forced me out of my normal comfort zone which is what joining challenges is all about.

I love the chalkboard technique but definitely need to play with it some more. This was my first attempt at adding some color to it and I'm not sure that I'm totally satisfied with the result.

Happy Crafting!

Tilting elements in various directions? Good for you, Paula! I don't know if I could be as successful. LOVE your chalkboard sentiment. Great colors!

I like the colorful pattern papers as they pick up those subtle colors in your chalkboard panel! They perfectly compliment each other, and I love the white faux stitching too!
