Hello There

I've created this card for the Trigger Tuesday - Now That's My Cup of Tea challenge over at the Moxie Fab blog. I opted to go with the colors and flowers as my inspiration. With the exception of the red flower these are all die cuts, including the sentiment, from the Silhouette store. I drew the thin red one by hand in Adobe Illustrator and turned it into a cut file for my Cameo.

Several things that stood out to me when I saw this trigger image including the robin's egg blue saucer color, the transparent quality to the green flower where the petals overlap each other, the asymmetrical, scattered pattern of the flowers and the variety in terms of the shapes and styles of the flowers.

I used white cardstock for all my pieces (except the embossed panel in blue) and then used my markers to color them. Though most people think of markers in terms of coloring images they can really be used for so much more. Using them to create a customized color palette is something I do often. It's easy to do and since I own a large collection it almost always guarantees that I can get the color I want even if my cardstock selection is limited.

Happy Crafting!

That's so cool that you die cut the flowers and colored them....I never think to do that. Thanks! It's awesome that you designed your own flower. Your card turned out beautifully!
