I Love You - MFT Sketch #142

I've decided a few weeks back that since I knew I wouldn't have many cards ready to be sent to OWH by the Thanksgiving deadline I'd stick with basic everyday sentiments instead. Love themed cards are always in demand, particularly as soon as the Christmas rush has passed. This card that I made for this week's My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge can be used at any time and could even work as an anniversary card too.

I made some changes to the original sketch you see here by adding several banner flags instead of the single element and enlarging the circle to draw a bit more attention to it since I've made it my focal point. I've also moved these elements down to overlap the background piece more.

This sentiment is fairly small but framing it with the larger circle behind it helps give it some weight and is a good technique when trying to turn a small element into a focal point in your design.

Happy Crafting!

Ditto on what Jen said, the banners are a great focal point.

I like the pink and brown. That white bow just ties everything together! Loving the banners. Thanks again for sharing a great card.

I was very encouraged to find this site. I wanted to thank you for this special read. I definitely savored every little bit of it and I have bookmarked you to check out new stuff you post.

Thanks for letting me know that I am not the only one who won't have a box ready for OWH by Thanksgiving. I have been making general cards because the prep for my daughter's wedding has slowed down my card making. I love those cute banners on your card. Have a great day.
