A Little Coloring and a Blog Refresh

Hello friends! Hard to believe it's already January 17th and this is my first post of the new year. First let me say that I am so grateful for all who come by my blog to see what I'm up to and say hello.

I picked up my markers for the first time since early November and boy do I feel way outta practice! I'm a firm believer that creating art is a lot like playing the piano or riding a bike, once you 'learn' it you  don't ever really forget it but you sure can tell a difference between those who practice and those who don't. It took me a while (practice makes you faster too) so I haven't quite made it into a card yet. Here's a sneak peek. Come back in the next couple of days... I'm determined to make this into a card sooner rather than later.

One of the 'non-crafty' projects I've recently done was a new blog design for my cardmaking friend (and fellow OWHer) Penny Ward. It was so much fun! Penny basically told me what she liked and said 'have at it'. I created a custom header, sidebar headers and a coordinated background. Go pay her a visit. She has a really cool card posted (that she dedicated to me no less!). While you're there 'follow her' (she does fabulous work) and leave her a little love too as she bravely endures a fight against a recent diagnosis of breast cancer. (Oh yeah, watch out cancer — she is going to kick your you know what!!)

Happy Crafting Everyone!
