Finally A Card

It took me a lot longer than I expected to finally get this little guy turned into a card. Coloring him was fun, but when it came time to turn him into card... well let's just say I had something pictured and this card turned out nothing like it. Have you ever had that happen? You start out in one direction and end up in a totally different place. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but this trip took a very, very long time and though I don't dislike the end result I'm not sure that I love it either.

I managed to make a couple of cards today that I'll share in the next week or so. Sadly, I find myself feeling guilty for even thinking about crafting and have done very little in the past three months, mostly I think because I feel that my time should be totally focused on finding a job and figuring out how to pay the bills. Still though, I miss crafting and I am glad I finally forced myself to do a bit today.

Happy Crafting!

Cute image and coloring. I think you should get back in the crafting play and blogging your works. Keeping your name out in the world is a good thing when you are well known now. And... crafting is therapy during the waiting of a job.

Well, he certainly is delightful! I don't know where you were headed in your head with him but you landed in a really great place. I love the colors of this card. Very bright, very happy. Great job! And speaking of jobs, good luck in your search. I feel your pain. Ernie was recently unemployed and it sucked. He's working again but 500 miles from home now. However, a job is a job. It's too bad we can't have our cardmaking craft keep us financially independent...

I love your card with the bright colors and the sentiment font is just gorgeous. I usually make multiples because I so frequently struggle in coming up with a card that I want to maximize all of that effort!

Please keep crafting, your crafting gene deserves a workout! (And a break from worries is never a bad thing.)

I don't know what direction you were heading in when you started this card, but the result is fantastic! I love the banners and great colors! It's just wrong that there are so many folks in your position who are willing and able to work, yet unable to find employment. On the other hand, it's great to see one of your inspiring cards again! Hopefully it gives you a rest from your worries to sit down and craft. TC

I love this cute card. The flags are an awesome addition. When you did work you got weekends off right? You need to take a break from job hunting too. It will open up your mind to other possibilities. Ya never know! Praying for you.

Love, love, love your card. Really need that stencil and stamp set!

As someone who has been there, you need to spend more time crafting, not less just to keep your sanity.
