In between paying visits to all the people who've linked up on my challenge, checking in on the OWH Facebook wall and even making a few tweets I've been making cards too. Here's what I have to share...

Challenge #1
Our Daily Bread Challenge for May
Miss You Theme
For some reason I always find myself reaching for brown or black inks when I use this stamp set. Today I forced myself to use different colors.

Challenge #3
Romance Theme
I finally got around to trying my hand at this very popular chalkboard technique and while it did take me a few tries I just love the look and will definitely revisit it again with some of my other sentiment sets. This is also the first time I've used the MFT Blueprints 1 Dies set and I think it's safe to say I am in love with it.
Challenge #4
Use a Scrapbook Sketch to Make A Card
This was the hardest challenge for me today. This was my third try and I haven't completely decided yet if I like it or not. I found my inspiration sketch over at the Scrapbooks etc. site here and while I'm more likely to stick with one of the many card sketches available I do think it's a good exercise to stretch and challenge yourself creatively once in a while.

Challenge #5
OWH Sketch #171
My first instinct was to place a sentiment in the circle part of this sketch but I couldn't make it work and so I opted to turn the spot into a focal point of combined elements and use the lower right corner for my sentiment.
I have used my own photos several times to create 'picture postcards' of places and sights near me and used them to write Any Hero Mail. I find that it really is a great help in making a note easy to write when you have a topic in the photo itself. I write a line or two about the image, like where and when I took it, include my thanks and the note is done! I've never used a photo as part of card but love this idea and will definitely do it again. This image is of a local lighthouse that can be seen off the shore very near where I live.

Challenge #7
Summer Theme
Having lived in a shoreline town on the East Coast my entire nothing says 'Summer' to me more than the beach. I've been in a coloring groove lately and had this in my folder of digis. It's by Elizabeth O. Dulmeba, whose work I love and use often in my cards for OWH.
Happy Crafting!

Paula, your cards are always amazing! I love the colors for your miss you card and the extra layer on the brown banner really adds that extra touch. Your chalkboard card is just wonderful. I may just need that Blueprint die set. (I just love MFT's dies.) And your birthday card is perfect with it's bright and cheerful colors/patterns.
I love all of these, but especially the chalkboard one! Wow! Thanks for playing along with my scrapbook layout challenge! I love your card. Now isn't it unfortunate that stretching out imaginations and exercising creativity doesn't burn quite as many calories as aerobics... THAT would be awesome!! :)
What the others have said. I especially like your romance card because it'll suit so many different personal tastes. (One of the reasons I have trouble with those.)
I'm still pondering Nancy's. It's been a long time since I've done scrapping, and I guess my mind has narrowed down from 12x12. lol
These are such great cards Paula, and I especially love your take on the scrapbook challenge! That's such a great way to use up those colorful scraps and it looks like a little pocket tag! The chalkboard card is amazing, and of course that Hero Arts stamp set on the first card is one of my all-time favorites! NJ on all!
I had to add another comment after you added 2 more cards! That lighthouse is fabulous with those long-forgotten photo corners! The summer scene you created is awesome too, and I love that wide ric-rac panel! NJ on the last two!
I'm back again to thank you for sharing your summertime card on my blog! I love sandcastle and the card is so bright and summery! I also love your lighthouse pic card!
We're going to the Oregon Coast in a couple weeks, where my sweetie proposed to be when I was eighteen. Now you have me looking even more forward to the trip!
Beautiful cards, Paula! Your photo card turned out great - I love the photo corners, I might have to CASE that idea :) Thanks for playing along in my OWH VCMP challenge!
Thank your for hosting one of the challenges! I really like the color combination you used on the Just a Note card. I never thing of using purples and blues, and you did it beautifully!!!
Hi Paula! Love all of your cards. I also recognize some of that paper from K&Co.! I don't have a favorite among your collection, however, I am very taken by the first one. I may have to CASE your design because I am slowly teaching myself to use my stamps more and I love the way you have stamped the clock faces. Thanks for all of your kind comments, hosting Boot Camp, and sponsoring a challenge for the VCMP. I really appreciate your time and effort.
Every card on your blog is prettier than the next. I am so impressed with your talent. What a great card maker you are!!!!
WOW! You've outdone yourself yet again! I do love the bright and fun summer card though! Wishing I was at the beach building a sandcastle.
Fantastic card Paula. I love your take on this week's sketch. Very feminine looking with these gorgeous, rich colors and papers. The doily die cut is so pretty and the butterflies and darker ribbon just sets everything off.
Paula your sand castle card is so cute and I love the red, yellow and blue color combination! Have a great day!
I am so inspired by your work. I have printed out & bookmarked so many of your ideas & tutorials it's not even funny. These are all wonderful & I especially like the chalkboard card. Thank you for your sweet comments on my cards, that was a real honor.
Paula...a wonderful group of cards! The first two are particularly stunning! tfs!!!
