I'm honored and excited to be participating in today's blog hop as Art Impressions teams up with Operation Write Home, introducing 2 fantastic OWH fundraiser stamps sets! Our hop starts over at the Art Impressions Blog in case you need to head back to the start and if you're doing the hop in order you should be coming from What's Next? (Dixie Cochran's blog). Today's hop winds up over on the OWH Stars & Stamps blog but there are still many fun and inspiring stops ahead.
AI Stamp Set ~ OWH Every Hat |
AI Stamp Set ~ OWH Sending Love |
I stamped the front cup twice so that I could give it some dimension. In person it has a bit of a curve to it and is slightly raised. I have to confess that I slipped as I tried to fussy cut the cord so rather than toss out the entire card I replaced the cord with some Tim Holtz paper string.
Thanks for stopping by today. Now hop on over to the next stop and see what wonderful creations Karen has to share with you.
Happy Crafting!

Super cards :) I really love the cell phone paper too. Thanks for inspirations!!
Your oops turned into a great idea and if you hadn't "confessed", no one would've known. It just proves the saying: "... mistakes are just opportunities for embellishments." ;)
The first card has a strong focal point and you followed the rules of 3 with your brads. :)
LOVE the second card. Even though the use of string was accidental, it's perfect. It'd be fun to ise this set with different colors of bakers twine.
Paula- your slip on cutting the cord made for a brilliant fix! I love the string! And your many hats gal--love your coloring and your hoarded paper is perfect!
Love the string between the two cups - very clever.
Love the way you fussy cut the cups on a string for this card. Looks like you used "real" string between the cups. How cute!
I really like how the replacement string turned out in the second card. That card will be great for a parent to send home to a teen, and that's surely a category we're always lacking. Thanks for sharing!
WOW- I LOVE the CAS look of the first! It has so much going on the all the colors and depth, you kind of don't notice at first that it is! The second is so cool; I mean, the DP is spot-on and the (oops) black cord is perfect!! (Don't ya just love 'happy accidents??') Thank you so much for your support of OWH!!

I love the "love knows no distance" card. Great idea with the paper string!
I just got in from a week of chaperoning @ youth camp, and have missed all your posts this week so, I had a lot to catch up on. Loved the Bugaboo card, and today's cards too. Congrats again on being in the running for Gallery Idol.
Love them both! Fantastic shading on the woman and I love (no pun intended) the twine you spelled out love with. Karen and I had the same idea but didn't end up doing it. Yours came out fantastic. Renee (Art Impressions DT)
Genius! I love the string and the dimension you added!!!!
Happy Accidents, right! I always find when I make a boo boo and then fix it, it usually looks better than my original idea!
I love the string for the cord and the cell-phone paper was just perfect for the stamp!

Great colors on the first and love the paper and the twine on the second.
Sometimes those little mess ups give you a better card. I like the string as the cord.
Simply gorgeous cards, Paula!
Both of your cards are fantastic. And, replacing the cord might have been due to an error, but it sure spiced up that card with more dimension. Super great job on both!
Both of your cards are just too cute! Such vibrant coloring. I love them.
Your cards are always such an inspiration!
Great save on the fussy cut. I think the solution is even better than the original would have been. I love the dimension on the cup. Don't you just love the hat lady! My favorite cards are CAS, so thanks for showing that option.
The cell phone paper really is perfect.
Paula, your cards are terrific. Beautiful coloring and card designs. Thanks for the great idea with the cups. They stumped me.
Your cards are so nicely colored. I like the way you rounded the corners of the second card to repeat the shape of the cell phones in the paper and the cups.
Paula, these are fantastic! I love the coloring on the lady and the pop of colors the brads and layers give the card. And the phone card, oh my! There is a ton of love in that awesome work of art! Neat idea with the curved part on the cup - clever! Thank you for being on our blog team and volunteering your wonderful talents in so many ways.
Great cards, Paula! Cute idea to use the twine for the "love" word between the cups. Even if it was because of a slip in cutting.
Cute cards, love the bright colors in the second card. A very neat stamp. Mary L Schreiber
I love the cell phone paper! and the way you did the cord between the cups! Great card!
You did a terrific job showcasing these new stamps.
Great cards. I think that the cord looks great.
I love how you added dimension with the double cut and cord without creating a "tower". This will get me looking for opportunities to provide that little something "extra". Thanks for participating.
Great cards!

Aw, Paula, you didn't need to "fess" up! Here I was thinking how clever you'd been to use something with dimension for the phone cord! Great job with these. Think they're gonna be lots of fun to play with and very popular with our Heroes! Thanks for all you do for OWH!

Love your bright colors! Thanks for supporting OWH.
For a slip up, you covered it up quite well... I'd never know that was t on purpose! The TH string really looks good there and gives it more dimension! Thanks
The "shade" beneath the multi-hat image is perfect. I struggle with those types of final touches . . .
Delightful cards!
Mary, Wausau WI
