Color Throwdown Challenge Celebrates 5 Years

As my regular readers know one of my goals this year is to play along with and discover new challenge blogs. The Color Throwdown Challenge is celebrating 5 years this week with a fun color combination and fun prizes so I'm throwing my hat into the ring to say congrats!

I check in on this challenge each week but this is my first time playing along. I have to admit that my main reason for not playing before is that I  don't readily have the color card stock mentioned (you are allowed to substitute colors you have that are closest to what is shown) and until I forced myself to really give it a try this week I thought that finding comparable colors wouldn't be easy.

Since my current OWH box is short on masculine cards. I also wanted to see if I could come up with a way to take what I think is a fairly feminine color combo and make a masculine or at least gender neutral card. Overall I'm happy with the result.

Happy Crafting!

Putting the map paper in the background and tearing the other makes this look more masculine! I like the cut out for the banner to go in. Great Card.

Oh my, please don't EVER fret about not having the exact colors! Anything that's similar is fine... whatever YOU have that is closest! It's all about creativity and fun!

That said, this card rocks! I LOVE the map, and the little bit of bright pink and bright turquoise is perfect! Thanks SO MUCH for helping us celebrate at The Color Throwdown!
