Batter Up!

I've subscribed to CardMaker Magazine on and off over the years and recently signed up for a Digital Subscription. I fully understand why some prefer a printed magazine and as someone who makes their living as a designer in a print shop I am grateful for it but I can't deny that being able to change the font size when reading on my iPad is a tremendous help for my less then perfect vision.

They host challenges on their Facebook wall each week with a new one starting every Tuesday. This week's challenge is to make a card inspired by baseball. I decided this was one I should definitely jump in on. Not only am I baseball fan but I've got lots of them in my extended family as well. I've actually made this for a cousin who played college baseball and recently graduated.

The red stars are cut from some Martha Stewart glitter paper and although it's almost plastic like and doesn't flake a bit, there is no concern since this card won't be going into my OWH box. I have some baseball themed stuff in my stash which included this cool background paper from Me & My Big Ideas and a package of some fun stickers by Sandy Lion. I don't typically use stickers on my cards but there are quite a few really nice ones on the market and they make it easy to make a themed card.

Happy Crafting!

What a great card. Of course, I am a baseball fan too, so this one really spoke to me. :)
