Happy Holidays - Addicted to CAS: 'Holiday' Challenge

I'm joining in today for the first time with the Addicted to CAS 'Holiday' Challenge. While the word 'holiday' has markedly different meanings across the globe for most Americans it brings to mind Christmas and therefore that's where I was guided in creating my card.

I wouldn't say I'm addicted to CAS (Clean and Simple) design but as a formally trained designer I can certainly see the benefit of honing your skills and intentionally working in different styles is one of the best ways to do that.

One of the best things about CAS cards is that, while it's not necessarily easy to do, it usually is easy to discern what was done when you see a card by someone else. There isn't much to this card, an embossed background that lends some subtle texture while maintaing significant white space, a small scrap tied in twine and a simple sentiment. Enough to convey the message but nothing superfluous.

Happy Crafting!
