Sometimes a Simple Scrap

My card share today was actually made from a scrap that was laying on my table during a crafting session. I had been using the opposite side of this two-sided paper by Stampin Up and after finishing the card I was making I noticed the vintage fountain pens. The tip of one had been cut off but I thought enough of it was showing to use it in this design. The deep red corrugated piece was also in my scrap box.

Now I am definitely not a wasteful person nor am I neurotic about saving every little scrap of paper but this card is a good reminder to me that it's worth taking the time to at least look at them before I aim for the trash can.

Do you save every tiny scrap, only some that you think you'll put to use or do you use up what you can right then and there and trash the rest?

Happy Crafting!

Love the card - awesome use of scraps! The deep red is a great contrast with the kraft. I do try to use up scraps, but after a couple of months with no use I find they are better used in the recycling bin. :)

I love fountain pens, and they look good on this card. I'm not much of a saver of scraps.

Paula, this is a great card! I love it when a scrap or two call out to you. It has happened to me and some of my favorite designs are born! I save too many scraps. :(
