That's the name of the regular challenge over at the TAWS (The Alley Way Stamps) site. Isn't it a great name? There is so much, in so many places to inspire card makers and all sorts of crafters and I think the manufacturer sites and challenge blogs are among the best. I'm getting my card in under the wire but when I first saw the collage of inspiration photos I thought these cute fish would be a perfect match and fun to color.
The fish and sentiment are both digital freebies from the TAWS site. I arranged a few in various sizes along with the sentiment within my 3 x 4.5 space and printed out a few extra so that I could fussy cut them and pop them up with some foam tape to give the design some dimension. I had intended to use some glossy accents on the eyes but when I went to dig out my Aleene's Paper Glaze it looked like it had gone bad. I really can't recall the last time I used it so I should have known better.
I colored this with Spectrum Noir markers using oranges and gold brown for the fish (GB7, OR1, OR2, OR3), green turquoises for the background (GT1, GT2, GT3) and a true blue (TB1) to highlight the eyes. I didn't spend as much time coloring this as I would have liked but all-in-all I'm happy with how it turned out.
