I've been helping out in creating the sketch drawings in the last month and I have to say it's always interesting to see which ones not only generate the most participant interest but which generate the best results. Every so often it seems like we'll have a sketch that will result is exceptional cards across the board and I think this is one of those weeks.
As I write this it's still Sunday. I schedule my blog posts in advance for the week, so it's only been posted for one day and there are already quite a few links and they're all really nice. I can't wait to see what the rest of the week brings. Be sure to check them out for yourself if you haven't already.
By the way, I've used that same trick of coloring a printed paper in this card. I took a piece of the brown print that I had left over after cutting it for the piece on the left and used a pink Prismacolor marker to color it. Doing this enabled me to add contrast but also a little interest and detail in that I end up with a coordinated patterned paper instead of a solid.
Happy Crafting!
